I’ve been to and photographed a LOT of weddings, and there’s no doubt that I’ve seen my fair share of unique ideas when it comes to wedding planning. More recently, a good friend of mine began planning her wedding and since I am a BIT of a Pinterest addict, I see her wedding ideas regularly popping up in my feed. She’s a lot like me, a fashionable hippy chick at heart who loves handcrafted everything and is the “no fuss no muss” type. It got me to thinking about the process of it all, and what is so wonderfully creative about it. The parts of a wedding that are amazingly unique and show the couple’s character are what make it beautiful to me. From their favorite craft beers to centerpieces incorporating photos of their world travels, it’s the personal details that people will love and appreciate.
So here’s the advice… (as if you haven’t had enough wedding advice!). Do what you want. Do what makes you happy. I don’t care if you’re 22 or 72. If this is your first wedding, or your sixth. DO WHAT MAKES YOU HAPPY.
Now that I’ve gotten that little message out there, I couldn’t help but share a couple of these fabulous ideas I’ve seen!
Instead of a dusty old book of signatures, why not try THIS cute idea?
And instead of dropping $2000 on a traditional wedding dress, why not get something custom made and absolutely gorgeous, like this champagne, beaded original gown?
Who says you HAVE to have a diamond? Check out this garnet and silver engagement ring and while your there, her shop has some fantastic sparklers and morganite jewelry, take a peek!
So enjoy the process, be creative, be you, and be fabulous!
